He’s here! Welcome home, Baby M! You are so adored!

I was very excited to finally meet this little guy. I’ve photographed this family on a few occasions and it’s always my pleasure to spend time with them. I think the girls may have been happier if I had just come to play, but they had a lot of chances to show off their rooms, their toys, and oh yeah, their new baby brother!

Usually at newborn sessions I offer to swaddle the baby to get a good, tight wrap that will hold those little escape artists. Wrapping tightly helps to keep newborns all snuggled up and content! But at this session I didn’t need to do any wrapping—Mom and Dad had it covered! Seriously I haven’t seen such good wrapping outside of the nurses who swaddled my own newborns at the hospital. I bring stretchy wraps to newborn sessions, but even with a normal muslin baby blanket these two were pros! See how happy that baby is? He settled right down for those sleepy shots, and he also gave me plenty of photos with him looking at the camera too. He was definitely ready for his close-up.
